Good news from Brazil! As announced yesterday CBFS (Confederação Brasileira de Futsal) is going to introduce a new women futsal competition in 2021! The NFFB – Novo Futsal Feminino Brasil - will feature 12 clubs (round robin followed by a play-off with the best 8 clubs taking part) in a 8 months competition. Tournament winners will also be awarded with a ticket for the Supercopa de Futsal Feminina.
A kind of resurrection, or at least it could seem like that, of the former LNF Feminina started in 2005 and sadly ended in 2014 with the last Barateiro Futsal title. Let's wait for further news in the hope that this can be a new start for a big national league in Brazil, as deserved by all the amazing girls playing!
