Opening new borders for the international futsal market. Russia and Gazprom Ugra (as officially confirmed by the club, read the report) star Ivan Chishkala is leaving his native country in order to start a new experience in Portugal. He will indeed play for SL Benfica, a great transfer for the aguias who are working on a new roster after losing Fernandinho (Kairat Almaty), Bruno Coelho (ACCS Futsal Club) and Chaguinha (Real Betis according to some news).

For sure something unexpected and new: for the first time an high level player from Russia is facing one of the most important leagues in Western Europe or abroad (Russian players were (and they still do) usually moving to closer countries like Ukraine, Belarus ecc).

After nine years full of titles with Gazprom Ugra (2 Superleague titles, 4 Cup trophies, 1 UEFA Futsal Cup triumph) and great achievements wearing the Russian National Team shirt (World University Champion, World Cup runner up and bronze medal in EURO Futsal Championships) the benfiquista adventure undoubtedly represent a big change in Chishkala's life and futsal career. For sure a successful experience will prove once more that we're talking about one of the most brilliant talents in continental and worldwide futsal. So... boa sorte!

But, before thinking about Portugal and Benfica, Ivan Chishkala has a last task: on August 2nd Gazprom will start their run in the Superleague play-off against Novaja Generacija.
