Finland - April 08, 2025 23:00The Mambas FutsalFirst ever futsal card game?Finnish deaf futsal national team, nicknamed Mambas, in cooperation with Home Team Games have created a fully playable card game based on futsal. The Mambas Futsal card game can be pre-ordered from Home Team Heroes website and it is part of Mambas fundraising for their participation in World Deaf Futsal Championships played in June 2025 in Italy.

Idea for the futsal card game came up as Mambas were looking for innovative ways to make fundraising to cover the participation costs of the World Deaf Futsal Championships. Quick discussion between Mambas head coach Matti Anttonen and Home Team Games founder Jussi Saarinen were enough to convince both parties about the benefits of the cooperation.

The Mambas Futsal Team Deck includes 65 unique cards displaying Mambas players and event cards together with full playing instructions in English. Game is based on Home Team Heroes card game but is fully customed and themed to futsal including graphics and game events. Game consists waves of attacking and defending using the players in your hand with different playing abilities.

Every bought box of The Mambas Futsal game will gather 10 euros for Mambas fundraising for the upcoming World Deaf Futsal Championships participation. Mambas have been active on fundraising because the national association’s economical support will only cover a small part of the participation costs:

“We are not the A-national team. We are the deaf national team, and unfortunately, there are no big sponsors available for us. We need to be very active on fundraising to be able to participate in the World Deaf Futsal Championships.”, comments Mambas head coach Anttonen.

“Without comprehensive fundraising it would be economically impossible for some of our players to participate. It is the World Cup for Deaf! Everyone wants to experience it and it is a shame if any player’s dream of playing in the World Deaf Futsal Championships dies because they cannot fund the trip themselves.”

“I hope we reach many futsal fans and they are able to support us by buying The Mambas Futsal Team Deck, because all the support we get is truly needed.”, concludes Anttonen.

The Mambas Futsal is to be released in April 2025. Pre-ordering the game before the release adds two more exclusive cards to the box: Debutant and Counterattack. Every Mambas Team Deck includes also two ultra-rare, shiny SpotFoil special cards, featuring real players (or even a staff member) of Mambas.

The Mambas Futsal Team Deck is compatible with other Home Team Heroes products, and you can mix your Mambas star players with other Home Team Heroes card sets.

Deaf national team head coach Anttonen is proud of the release:
“It has been a pleasure working with Home Team Games on the release as both parties have been enthusiastic about the final product. We have been working on every detail to get authentic futsal feeling to the game in the graphics and in the vocabulary. I’m proud of The Mambas Futsal card game and I’m proud to be a Mamba!”

World Deaf Futsal Championships will be played in Montesilvano, Italy, 14-27 June 2025. A total of 24 countries in men and 12 countries in women will compete in the two week tournament. Finnish deaf futsal national team for men, Mambas, was drawn in the same group with reigning champions Iran, Denmark and Uruquay.
