Footy Promotions held their end of season presentation to congratulate the players and league leaders.

A spokesperson said, “The Footy Promotions Youth Futsal League season ended yesterday on Sunday, August 16th, 2021. Footy Promotions held their end of season presentation to congratulate the players and league leaders. The end of season presentation was attended by BFA President Mark Wade and Technical Director Maurice Lowe.”

“Footy Promotions Youth Futsal League was a fantastic event for young players,” said BFA President Mark Wade. “Futsal is a tool that we hope more players will use to improve their technical skills. There was some great young players on display and the BFA look forward to continuing the partnership with Footy Promotions in 2022.”

“The winner of the 8-11 year-old league was Force Black Team who consisted of Samar Augustus, Tanaka Kunze, Darien Lambert, Cameron Porter, David Richard Augustus, Marcus Spencer, Issac Todd, and Gebre Vickers,” a spokesperson said.

“The leading goal scorer was Issac Todd with 21 goals. The Best Goalkeeper was awarded to Aiden Jones and the Most Valuable Player was awarded to Dunstan De Sa. The Coach’s Player Award, selected by professional futsal player Jordan Deer. was awarded to Christian Phillips-Steede.

“The 12-14 year old league was won by Force Red Team with 44 points. The Red Team consisted of Preston Bang, D’ari Coddington, Janos Lindsay, Malik Paynter, Jai Simmons, Troy Washington, and Rakeem Wilson.

“The leading goal scorer with 26 goals was D’ari Coddington. Damori Baxter was awarded the Best Goalkeeper Award, and the Most Valuable Player was awarded to Malik Paynter. Jordan Deer’s choice for Coach’s Player Award went to Harlem Bean-Fox.”

“We were very pleased to be able to host the youth futsal league this summer,” said Footy Promotions President Vinzie Zuill. “All participants in the youth futsal league showed their skills, teamwork and passion. It was a joy to watch!

“The league provided a positive environment for players to develop their skills through futsal. It was great to see over 100 players participate in the league in two age divisions. Congratulations to Force Black and Force Red for winning the league in their respective divisions. Both teams were very entertaining and scored some sizzling goals.

“Overall, it was really good to see players and teams improve, become sharper and compete each week. Thank you again to the Bermuda Football Association for your commitment to youth futsal as a tool for development.”
