It's time, almost time. For what? The absolute debut of the Norwegian Women's Futsal National Team is coming soon, one more consequence of the delayed but strong impulse given by the introduction of the FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup.

So, after the announce and creation of the team, the second step comes on the pitch through the first and historical friendly games, exactly as recently happened for France.

Norway will play their first official women's futsal team game against Belgium in a double challenge set to take place in Trondheim on 14 and 15 May, with venues and times to be confirmed later in March.

"It was natural for us to choose Trondheim and NFF Trøndelag when we are going to mark the start of the futsal team for women. A very strong futsal environment and a football circle with skilled professionals who, together with us, will create a wonderful framework for the first international match. We have worked for this for many years, and it is so much fun that we can now start looking forward to the first match on Norwegian soil", says Morten Ravlo, sports manager for futsal in the Norwegian Football Association and head coach for both men and women's teams.

After travelling through the country and watching several women's league games Ravlo has selected the supposedly best players for the first ever Norway's roster announced. Also, he has identified in Jon Stian Haukli (NTNUI Futsal) and Lise Lehn-Pedersen (Skeid Futsal) his assistant coaches.

This "huge" list of 40 players will obviously be reduced later, with the final squad expected to be announced in the first half of April.
