No surprises from Lisbon. Since one month, after the usual "rumors" and speculations on the name replacing
Joel Rocha
, all the indications were leading to a single name:
José Maria Pazos Mendéz
, known in futsal as
Pulpis
.
No more World Cup with Thailand then for the Spanish coach who will start the training sessions with
SL Benfica
on August 16th.
Fernando Tavares
, SL Benfica vice-president explained their decision:
"We have chosen Pulpis due to his knowledge and international experience."
